What if in five or 10 years’ time AI becomes as accurate as, or more accurate than, humans? For tech optimists, this would be nirvana. People could sit on the beach or in the pub while a machine does their work to a higher standard. This is being dangled before a workforce observing the withering of the post-World War II prosperity boom.
