Neowiz's Round8 Studio is hiring new talent for the development of its upcoming titles. Notably, the studio is also recruiting an 'AI Creator' to handle game graphic production processes using generative AI technology.
According to the job posting, Round8 Studio has begun hiring for several new projects, ranging from the sequel to 'Lies of P' to new subculture-themed projects. The most distinctive aspect of this recruitment is the aforementioned search for 'AI Creators.'
AI Creators will be tasked with building a unique art pipeline that combines the creativity of artists with the productivity of AI, and will be assigned to the Art 2 Division. These new hires will use generative AI tools such as Stable Diffusion and Midjourney to generate and expand upon concept drafts for characters and backgrounds.
Furthermore, they will be responsible for integrating cutting-edge technologies into existing workflows, including AI-based texturing, modeling assistance via Image-to-3D technology, and training project-specific AI models using LoRA and ControlNet. Their duties also include post-processing tasks suitable for actual game implementation—such as inpainting, outpainting, and high-resolution upscaling—as well as providing guidance on AI tool usage to in-house artists.
Candidates are required to have a strong fundamental understanding of form, color, and composition before utilizing AI tools. The studio is looking for individuals with excellent skills in precise prompt engineering and parameter control to achieve intended results, as well as proficiency in Stable Diffusion (Automatic1111/ComfyUI), Midjourney, and Photoshop. Preferred qualifications include practical experience in 2D concept art or 3D modeling, experience applying AI resources directly within game engines, and a high level of understanding regarding AI ethics and copyright legal guidelines.
Round8 Studio has explicitly stated in its posting that it is looking for talent who genuinely enjoy games. The studio emphasized its commitment to gaming by including a note politely declining applications from those who do not like or play games. The positions are full-time roles with a three-month probationary period, based at the Neowiz headquarters in Pangyo, with a flexible working hour system in place.
Round8 Studio is a development division under Neowiz currently composed of six teams, including Team Nough (Lies of P), Team Tabby (Project CF), and Team Foucault (Project Windy). In a related development, Neowiz announced during its earnings call on the 11th that the sequel to Lies of P has passed the prototyping stage and is entering full-scale development.
